🎈🎈🎈

I think this deserves its own thread, such is its significance. :)

For those who don't know, PhoenixxFire recently made it into the top ten respect of all time. This is just a spectacular effort, and most certainly one to be applauded. It gives an indication of the impact PF has had on the forums and community over the years - and, we hope, a snapshot of what's to come. ;)

At time of writing, PF has made 1,816 posts and accrued +1,215 respect. Incredible.

Well done, PhoenixxFire!

I did not know this

I'm actually so shocked how tf did that happen.
I actually don't know what to say. It kinda blows my mind a bit that my name is on there alongside the people who welcomed me onto AN when I first joined - that's just absolutely crazy.

Thank you all so, so much for being here through the torturous year 12 - You've made the last couple of years so much better for me and I can't possibly thank you all enough <3

and, we hope, a snapshot of what's to come. ;)
Watch out J41, I'm coming for your spot ;)

Wow! Congratulations! Too bad I only have 4 *so far  ;D ;D

The beautiful thing about the forums is that you always have the opportunity to keep contributing - and, therefore, keep accruing that respect. ;) And there are so many ways to do this. Any post you make can add value to the forums and the community, and that's a really awesome thing.

You've made a great start. Numbers definitely aren't always a true reflection, but I can guarantee that if you keep on posting, you'll keep getting that respect. ;) Like PhoenixxFire said above, it wasn't so long ago that she was a relatively new member to the community, and look at her now! ;D

Yep thanks! I realise that right now, I am only a secondary student and that I have no qualifications to be helping those that are studying for VCE but I try to help in certain subjects that I excel at haha.

Hopefully in the future I will see the number increase haha.

Meaningfully contributing to the forums doesn't require detailed explanations about complicated academic concepts or whatever. Just being around the community and engaging makes a huge impact, too. :)

When reading that I was torn between "wow! That's incredibly unbelievable!" and "Yeah, PheonixxFire is amazing so that makes sense."

PF's first post was on Jan 4 2017. Think about that. They've accumulated their respect over less than 24 months.

Through 2017 PF became a highly visible presence helping out others on the bio q&a thread - a subject which they were currently studying themself. I love that they've never relied on having a "qualification" but simply resolved themself to help out with what they could as they learnt; and that they haven't stopped asking questions either.

At the first leadership conference I went to we were told this: Some people do nothing. Some people complain. Leaders act.
PheonixxFire is absolutely a leader of this community, and a brilliant example of the fact that not having an ATAR/study scores doesn't prevent action.

Thankyou PF for everything you bring to the communities here

Massive congrats PF!

As Mini said, you've been one of the most visible members of the forums in recent months, and it's awesome to see you right up in that top 10, where you deserve to be!
