Should I get an EL tutor?

Hey everyone!
I'm rlly unsure whether or not I should get a tutor for englang 3/4 next year. I am not failing the subject but I would like to get 45+ ss. Any past experience/ advice would be appreciated

I would say it's definitely not essential, but in English Language especially it could be very useful if you have a good tutor that really understands your learning style and can pick up on what you would benefit most from. Don't forget though, at the end of the day the most important thing is putting in the work yourself, collecting media examples, learning the metalanguage and practising answering in a well-expressed way

I didn't do English Language but here's my experience:
I didn't have a tutor for majority of the year and only got one after the September holidays. I definitely wasn't failing and I was around the top of the cohort.  BTW I frequently submitted my work to my teacher who marked it and gave feedback. When I got a tutor to mark my essays, It was incredible! She picked up things that improved my essays and gave me tips that my teacher didn't have. (Note: I'm sure if my teacher had lots of time (she's a busy teacher), she could have provided more in-detailed feedback). I really wished I got a tutor at the start of the year or even half way through. If you get the gist of how to write, then look into getting just essays marks which are generally cheaper (not sure if this is applicable in EL )

Yeah I have a tutor for methods and chem rn and it rlly does help I feel like. Thanks for sharing ur pov

Late advice but I think if you get the right tutor, it can be pretty helpful as you have two people to bounce ideas off in your essays as opposed to one. Also reduces the marking burden for your normal teacher towards the ends of the year.
