would a score in the high 96s guarantee a spot at deakin optometry (median for this year was 97.05 and lowest selection rank was 95.10)?
also could anyone doing the course or who has info provide some insight on what the course (cohort, workload, geelong campus) is like, how intense it is considering the course is only 3.5 years, what job prospects are like? i really have no idea still what i want to do, but internet and relatives tell me optometry pays well so might as well try for that, do you guys think this is a bad idea?

It wouldn't guarantee a spot, but you'd assume that it would serve you well.

If you like optometry, go for it. It’s not really about the money you’ll earn, but about whether you like the course you’ll be doing or not. You want to be satisfied with the course after spending so much time and effort into it.
