Unimelb Physio - Is my GPA enough?

I am entering my final year of my Bachelor of Science at Unimelb (I am doing my final year part-time so have done 4 third year subjects already) and am interested in applying for the Doctor of Physio.

I am aware that the GPA for Unimelb Physio is weighted x3, x2, x1 for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st years respectively and have done the calculations using the GEMSAS calculator. My GPA currently sits at 6.04 and all going well, should increase to 6.06 provided I score H1's in both my subjects next Semester. My main question is obviously, how likely is an interview with that score, and would I be better off applying for honours to further boost my grades?

Honestly, 6.06 will be difficult to get an interview with. I'd say 6.5 would be competitive for an interview. I forget the amount of spaces avaliable, but it's not many (120 ish?), and even fewer of those are CSP (government supported via. HECS). If you were a graduate access Melbourne candidate (rural, indigenous, financial disadvantage, special circumstances), or were willing to accept a full fee place (where there is no HECS avaliable, you must pay the full cost of the course), you would be probably just in with a chance for an interview. I don't think unimelb considers an Honour's degree towards your GPA, but not 100% certain. They don't for medicine or dentistry. For physio, a GradDip, Masters or PhD helps, can't find anything written about Master's.

Make sure you've done ANAT20006 and PHYS20008 as your pre-requisite subjects  :)
2015: 89.10 ATAR (VCE)
2016-2018: BSc (Major in physiology, minor in Pharmacology, Developmental biology. Unaccredited minors also in biochemistry and immunology) Monash Uni
2019-2022: MD (University of Melbourne)

Nah they do take honours into account for both med and Physio.
On the GEMSAS guide:
"The three full-time
equivalent years of study will be referred to as Final Year, Finalminus-1 Year and Final-minus-2 Year. For a
four-year degree or a three-year degree plus Honours, the final three years will be used".
On the Unimelb Physio entry requirements page
"The Grade Point Average (GPA) will be measured by considering the last three years of the applicant's undergraduate coursework studies (including Honours). Weightings will be applied by weighting the first of the final three years by 1, the second year by 2 and the final year by 3."

With regards to those subjects, I got 71 in PHYS20008 and 83 in ANAT20006. My first year was particularly horrible, was doing the ecology major and hated it (GPA of 4.5 :/ straight passes in all core subjects). I had significant improvement in my following years after switching to phys (5.56 in second year, 6.93 currently in third year) and saw a big jump in my wam too(went from 54 to a tad under 67 in the last two years).

Doing honours and scoring a H2A/H1 will get rid of my (rather dreadful) first year and bring my GPA up to that 6.5+ category, and perhaps my wam up to a 70 hence why I am thinking of giving it a go. Have you heard much about the entry requirements of other universities around Vic?
