I'm not sure what the question is but your list of poems is from "Old/New World". This is a collection of poems by Australian poet Peter Skrzynecki.  You will need you own copy of the book as it will be a good idea to read more than just the poems in your list.  Personally, I don't think the poems are hard to understand but there are some interesting reflections and language use.  When you read Skrzynecki's poems in date order, starting with the early ones you can get a sort of perspective on his life experience and the lives of his immigrant parents who brought him to Australia. after World War 2.  Please don't give up and think you can't deal with an unfamiliar genre. Skrzynecki's poems are quite accessible - you can read the poems as if they are his autobiography, just written as poems rather than as prose.
