Hey Jamie

You might hear that VCAA can test anything from 3/4 or 1/2. After completing all the VCAA practice exams, I found that most (if not all) of the questions are from 3/4. So ignore that rumour
From memory, these topics from 1/2 carry on to 3/4:
- bonding, intermolecular and intramolecular forces (the emphasis is on intermolecular forces, whilst only a basic understanding of intramolecular forces are required)
- stoichiometry/ mole ratios
- galvanic cells (covered again in 3/4 but in more depth)
- organic chemistry including naming and structure of alkanes, alkynes, esters, etc. (covered again in 3/4 but in more depth)
- types of reactions (combustion, addition, etc)
- volumetric analysis (covered again in 3/4 but in more depth)
- calculations using specific heat capacity and q=m* c* delta t (covered again in 3/4 but in more depth)
- chromatography (covered again in 3/4 but in more depth)
