Does anybody know when the latest date to change VCE subjects is? Does this differ between schools?

I think it's different between schools. But, I remember even mentioning this thought to my Curriculum Head of Staff (or whatever the hell her title is) drove her insane. From that experience, do it as soon as possible! :|

Ha, yeah i mentioned it to my VCE co-oridinator and she said that i can only change in the first cpl of weeks, and even then is too late. and i can't drop a subject after the first assessments are starting. (like if i did an extra subject to give it a taste to drop one ;) )

A couple of weeks of starting the subject? Would early January (before school starts) be too late to change VCE subjects?

That should be all right. Schools get fined for changing enrolment details after a certain date (mid-late Feb), but each school has its own policy.

The official VCAA date is 28th April 2010, but obviously you would want to make the change well before this (and each school will have their own deadline).

Ideally you should decide before the end of this year so that you have the holidays to prepare yourself. You definitely wouldn't want to get too far into term 1 otherwise you will be continuously behind the eight ball.
