Ok, today my class was given the essay topic:

The media should be controlled in the interests of decency, honesy and sensationalism. Discuss.

We discussed the issues and the pros and cons of controlling the media and what they are able to publish. We copied the arguments on the board and took some notes but I've misplaced my workbook (it's probably in my locker). The essay is also due tomorrow.

So, to help me, what are the pros and cons in the controlling what the media publishes? Could somebody provide a list?
