On the exam covers which were released a while ago, on section C it said something about analysing the "article"
so it was right about only one article!

I did the desensitisation question.
Yes to all those wondering what it meant, it was a lack of showing sensitivity.
Went okay in A & B, wasn't too sure about C though, especially the fact that it was one article. >_>
In order to achieve, sacrifice must be made.

You should be fine.  Giving background information only aims to fulfill the mark descriptor:
"understanding of the ideas and points of view presented"

If you've made it clear that you understand the role of technology in society and how people can view it then you'll be fine.

I did desensitisation for Generals as well. I talked about their being a much broader meaning to the novel than them simply being 'desensitised' in order to deal with war, and pointed out that though they were 'desentitised' (I changed it to 'neglect' or 'ingore their conditions') in some respects, they were still affected emotionally (narrator reaction to killing Karl), and physically (unrelentling lice, etc.)

I think I went a bit off track...

did anyone do hard times?
the first one was very nice i thought..
just talked about coketown, the education system and slipped the legal system in.
then talked about louisa, jane and sissy, as well as rachael and stephen
i liked it.

whose reality prompt was good too.. unprecedently broad:)

What topic did you do for INTLOW?. I did the first one, the only idea I could come up with is that the suspense is caused by the manipulation/uncertainty of truth

Best word for tone in the language analysis was "optimistic"
