I was surprised not to see a 'sketch the graph' or  'somewhat' difficult complex number question like last year. In my opinion, it was an easy exam similar to 06/07.

Uber mind blank on the first 2 questions as well as cos(2x) question :(

Otherwise it seemed easy enough

Was surprised with the exam and how I went. Overall quite happy.
Mass mind blank on cos2x one too, as well as vectors and the acceleration/velocity one for some reason
Three of the few questions in the exam that were worth 3-4 marks. :buck2:
2008 - IT Applications - 32
2009 - English 29 - Specialist Maths 28 - Maths Methods 35 - Physics 31 - IT SoftDev 40

lol, I had a massive mind blank when trying to do: . I did end up splitting into partial fractions at the end but the lady did not give us warning for pens down, so I didn't rush it and didn't have time to simplify to the answer. So what really?, 1 mark is nothing.

Same here re: the first and fourth questions, was kicking myself when I realised after walking out that q1 was essentially a quadratic. Still don't get q4 though. I'm fairly confident that I got everything else right though, so I'm probably looking at around 30-33/40. What does everything think that will get? B+?

EDIT: I am pretty sure that cos(2x) was q4? In any case, that's what I'm referring to.

yeh u had to use double angle formula to find sin(x) and cos(x). i used 1 - 2sin^2(x) and 2cos^2(x) - 1 to find these values.

for the question before the Euler's method
it said write y as a function of x
does that mean
y = x
or x = y

and shit for the last question i was confident
and then i realised that the question asked for integars
and i left a 1/4 in the thing
i totally didn't think of it until after the exam ><
