i dont no how you could say it was a he or a she because it didnt say... thats probably one big thing examiners will harp on this year instead of the analysis of the visual image it will be the fact people assumed that Voxi was male or female...

"The writer" and when referring to Voxi's arguments/contention "his or her"

This is what I did.

I assumed the author was male though because females don't know how to use the internet.

Someone discovered the author's blog where the article originated from and he is in fact a male.

i'm sorry but the gender of the writer has no influence on your writing at all, i highly doubt they will take off marks for something so trivial

hoe can you find the place where the article originated? it is made up from by the VCAA in order to create a fair advantage for all so people didnt analyse the same articles before the exam so thats a load of crap... No the gender may not have an impact but it may when determining between a 9 and a 10... shows a bit about your understanding of the text does it not? whether you could understand that it was not in fact specified as to whether Voxi was male or female

I went "the author", "Voxi" and "he"
...at least I'm hoping I didn't accidentally use "she" as well

I used "the writer". Did anyone think of using "s/he" or "him/her" as in including the forward slash as well?
