hey guys, i was working on that insight book as part of my revision, i found something quite interesting

on page 42 . Q 6

Identify three linguistic features which are similar to spoken language. Support your answer with examples from the text.

its worth 8 marks. Now i usually like to work out what mark goes with what during reading time and before i attempt the question.

Why is it worth 8 marks. this is what i thought

3 linguistic features - 3 marks
3 examples - 3 marks.

where did the other 2 come from? :S. sorry if the answers obvious but im slow lol.

i thought of that too but solutions did not contain any paragraphs, it just stated which linguistic features could be used, eg colloquial language, discourse particles, questioning tones. hmmph i'll call insight on monday, see what they have to say.

It's probably an overall explanation as to why they're typical to the spoken mode and not the written.
