Timed exam?

Hey AN

I have done most vcaa exams for further but I got like 2 more left so I am now considering doing company exams too. All this time, I have timed my self for vcaa exams, however, for company exams I am unsure whether to time myself or to get a bunch of commercial questions from each section and to answer them (like checkpoints), what do you guys suggest? One person had told me to not time myself for commercial exams as it'll be a chance to attempt questions without worrying about time which will therefore help me understand the questions more thoroughly.
What are your thoughts? :)

I'd say to time yourself anyway, but don't place too much emphasise on finishing. Just see how much you are able to finish confidently, and try to improve this as you do more exams.

I would time some of the exams yourself! Time yourself and use a blue pen during that time frame and then once the time is up and if you still have more questions to do, change your pen colour and continue working. This helps you get a good idea of how long it would take you to solve something that you might be unfamiliar with. For commercial exams like MAV or Heffernan, I definitely recommend you time yourself because you really never know, some of these questions could be potentially close to the real thing. You are going to have a massive adrenaline rush on the day, so the more you try to replicate exam conditions the easier it will be in the long run for you. Don't do all of them time, but do a good amount so you get the idea. ;D
