help? !!!! WITHDRAWING FROM UNIT 4 PENALTIES

I was completing 3/4 religion and society however i dropped it at the start of this semester (meaning I completed unit 3) and was told I'd be withdrawn from unit 4. As far as my school timetable goes - R&S isn't there anymore and I've picked up Specialist but I just received an email from VASS saying "You are registered to receive your VCE results via email on 12 December 2019."

I am very anxious and concerned that my school hasn't correctly withdrawn me from my unit 4 subject (which i havent gone to any classes for and havent done any of SACs/coursework). I will be discussing this is my teachers tomorrow just to make sure I'm not still enrolled but hoping it's just an automatic email now that i'm in the system i guess??

I've been told there are penalties for withdrawing after starting a unit and I am concerned about how not completing Unit 4 would effect me if I am still enrolled.

So what are the penalties for late withdrawal(if you can even withdraw at all at this point) and what happens if you are enrolled but dont complete the coursework or the exam?

There’s no penalties. You’ll just fail the subject, so long as you still have enough subjects to get an ATAR it won’t affect anything.

Not from failing the class. It’ll be the same as if you had withdrawn from it. The only things that affect your atar are your scores from the classes you pass.
