I see u used x to refer to 2 different numbers in ur answer
Meh that was from the previous part, I labelled x on the diagram so hopefully the examiners can be smart enough to realise what x I worked out <_<

I think it was unfortunate that if you take the answer came out to be 1296.49. Some people might have used various methods to approximate the answer thinking to the nearest metre is ok but the rounding may then have been wrong. The VCAA 2007 last calculator Q at least had the advantage in that it was only 2 sig figs that were required so you could sort of just guess-and-check and get the value out of the calc.

Yeah I remember reading in the 2007 examiner's report about how you could assume velocity to be constant after a point and so you could calculate the time that way. It's how I knew what to do for that question

I think 1 mark. It's pretty much just the answer mark.

Pythagoras? You didn't need to use pythagoras to find the distance...

This is the distance that the car and the bike travelled in the first question right? Don't you just multiply your time by 20?

They would only take off 1 mark. Pretty unfair to take off 2
