Why am i finding year 10 different to year 11

hello people,

when i was in year 10 i felt everything was all over the place, as in teachers use to go from chapter 1 then she would go to  chapter 7, i felt very confused, and this had an effect on me cause i didn't know what i have to study cause it wasnt focused based, sometimes in sacs 2 or 3 questions ive seen in the text book come up, but i always thought it wasn't important so i wouldn't study it,

i alwyss see people doing better in year 11 then year 10... their studying pays off , whereas in year 10 you need to study this point that point then go back 5 chapters and study that... it gets confusing...

has anyone come across this, if  yes give me your experiences

I think the study design helps get rid of any confusions students have. Like it's structured and ordered and most of the time schools and students and teachers just need to follow the curriculum and learn the relevant content. Textbooks are also ordered according to the study design and so you don't really need to go back and forth when learning content throughout the year.
You just need to follow the textbook from the start to the end.

This is my experience at least.

Yea I actually enjoyed year 11, and I actually did fairly decent.
Year 11 is sort of like the last learning experience before year 12, so it's a good year to find out your weaknesses and what you should aim to do next year.
For me I realised I don't revise and refer to the study design enough so, that is what I'm going to work on this year.

Year 11 is good in the sense that you can refer to the study design for a guide, however teachers can branch off the study design to either accelerate you, or for their own 'twist' on the course. I've seen it done, so just be cautious about that. It's often not a bad thing, for many subjects (eg. BusMan, Psych, Languages etc.) the 1/2 isn't strictly pre-required, and content-wise, it's a totally different gig.

yea so by fairly decent i mean I had an average of about 85% in all my subjects except methods  :P .
For me, I've sort of shifted my views and I don't focus too much on the numbers, just on the best I can possibly do. I think that's important because a lot of people get too caught up with numbers and scaling, etc and in the end those things don't matter as much if you push yourself to do the best you can possibly do.   :)
