Hello people of atar notes,
I just found out that I am out to fail unit 3. I passed my sac, but I am still about to fail which is a bit strange. So how should I handle this?
-I really regret doing this subject and just want to get a study score at the end of the year even it its a shit one.

How are you coping? I'm assuming that this subject is methods from the other posts I have seen you make. Maybe have a conversation with your teacher- another post i read on AN says that apparently even if you fail a unit it is your ranking that matters. to receive a VCE I think you need to complete 16 units in total meaning 4 subjects- so I think you'll be fine in that area. as for your marks, consult your teacher for further advice. I think that aside from improving your ability you also need to improve your confidence. try and really focus on areas you went wrong in and ask yourself, is it entirely your ability that is leading you to get bad marks, or is it also your mindset. clearly it is obvious that you care about your studies or else you wouldn't be posting this- but just remember not to base your self worth off your marks. I believe that anyone is capable of achieving good marks if they really put in the effort. and while this may seem really daunting and important now, just remember that in a few years, when you get into the course you want at uni, none of your year 12 marks will matter. i know that it's easier said than done but don't lose hope. sit with your teacher and really ask them about all the areas you struggle with then slowly try and make a comeback from this and try to improve your unit 4 marks. remember that year 12 is also about self-improvement and growth. the most important thing is that you try your best so you don't have any regrets at the end of the year. the holidays are approaching in 2 weeks so really take that time to cover up any gaps you have in your knowledge and look forward. don't dwell on your current marks and REALLY focus on the exam. if this is methods you're talking about then remember that the exam is still 60 percent of your entire score.  i think you can still achieve a score in the 30s if you really pull yourself up. and if you don't then that's ok too! just focus on your other subjects and use them to pull you up if you really don't think you can do well. just remember, try not to beat yourself up over this! and one mark won't define your intelligence!!!!

good luck,
