33 is associating a negative stimulus (the nail polish) with the undesired behaviour (biting), it's like aversion therapy, and therefore is classical conditioning, so the answer is "Unconditioned stimulus" or C

With 11 the Answer is B because, like in past VCAA exams, for example, question 18 from VCAA 2008

Quote
"Question 18
Matilda is 75 years of age. She is fi t and healthy and is not suffering from brain disease or injury.
Over the last few years, Matilda has most likely
A. performed more poorly on recognition tasks than previously.
B. found it diffi cult to learn new material.
C. found it diffi cult to remember procedural memories.
D. not experienced large memory losses."

"24% of students chose option B, which would have been a
correct response if the question had not clearly stated that
this was a healthy elderly person. The inability to learn new
material is one of the early signs of dementia."

Therefore the answer to 11 is B

I stated question 16 C due to the fact that they state that he repeated the items in order. I thought this might have eliminated recency effect.
Other than that I have the exact same as you.

Haha at question 17.

I thought that I had been incorrectly calling it the visuo-spatial sketchpad the entire time and while still in the exam momentarily realised my embarrassment for all the times I had said it.

I don't think it should be removed though. It's very clear what it means. If someone got that question wrong because of that spelling mistake I would wager they had a learning disability. It's kind of annoying when a question is removed and everyone gets it right, bringing people who didn't study properly one mark closer to you, where a question you might have got wrong is left in.

They didn't though, participants who had more members in their family had a higher chance of getting the letter quicker for example, maybe some people were busy etc etc. For it to not be a biased sample each member of the population must have an equal chance of being selected for the sample.
