Yeah. It can't be generalised. Not all members of the population had an equal chance of being selected.

What would be the mark range needed for just an 'A' on the exam?
75-? or something? I have no idea!
Does anyone have a rough idea?    :)

I don't know wat to expect :S I fully stuffed the research question about generalising the results and didn't give enough info about the significance level. And a few multiple choice were a bit iffy :S

Question 33: Taylor's psychologist wants to use conditioning to help him stop biting his nails. The psychologist decides to paint Taylor's nails with a nasty tasting substance.
The nasty tasting substance is the :
A- Punishment-
B- Negative reinforcement
C- UCS
D- CS

This form of conditioning is called aversion therapy which is a form of classical conditioning thus taking out options A and B.
Then it has to be the UCS as it is the stimulus that produces the UCR.

^but why does the IARTV 2009 paper (Q36) say that the nasty tasting substance is negative reinforcement? is it possible this could be right as well as UCS ><

Unfortunately not. There were a few mistakes with the IARTV 2009 paper and we were told to not even attempt it.
Aversion therapy is a form of classical conditioning so A and B cannot be correct. The psychologist wanted Taylor to associate biting his nails with a nauseating feeling. He did not want to use operant conditioning (negative reinforcement) to increase the likelihood that the behaviour will occur again.
