I can't believe that people have to start again so soon! I've been on holidays since November 12th and it feels like the time has gone really fast. Luckily I still have an extra month.
make that 3 weeks as of yesterday.
Now that's scary! I feel so unprepared. I'm afraid I'm going to leave something that I need.
like what? meh, it's not that big a deal moving to college. s'just basically like changing rooms. bring everything, pretty much.
lol. If I brought everything I probably wouldn't be able to fit myself in there. I'm just afraid of random things, like if I don't bring a book that I find that I really want to read while I'm there or something.
well yeah, that does happen. everytime i go back to melbourne i find myself bringing up more books...

my room was absolutely packed last year, and it'll be even moreso this year, as having a balcony = an extra door in my room = less wall space.

My first day of yr12 was stressed that much. Just a random talk in the morning, straight into class, year level photos and a quick assembly at the end of the day. It was much more low key and less stressful than I thought it would be. What made the day so great was the common room. Although I'm slightly weirded out by the number of appliances in the room: two fridges, a freezer, a microwave, a sandwich maker, a grill (where you put sandwiches in), two toasters and a rice cooker. And no, I'm not kidding about the rice cooker. Looks like its going to be an awesome year.

WTF? Ours had one microwave (put in term 3) and 4 computers that had food stuck in them (stupid people eating and playing games at the same time). I think this years year 12s get a better deal though, apparently they get a cofee/hot chocolate machine.

Computers in a common room? Weird...
I think the best part of our room is the couches and the blasting music. Also the cute little cubbyholes for everyone's mugs and stashes of milo, coffee and tea.

I don't recall having a common room. Did MHS have a common room (for the other MHSers here)?

we had nothing. NOTHING. No microwaves, no appliances and nothing fancy.
all we got was some cushy seats and our own toilet block (if that counts for anything)

We had 2 microwaves, a fridge, a sink and a vending machine that sells coffee last year. They are renovating the kitchen this year though so it hasn't been open up yet. We have like 7 computers and a printer in our common room...

Well, it wasn't technically a "common room", everyone refered to it as a "study room" but little to no study was done in there, so it became more of a common room.
