Losing marks for no equilibrium arrow?

In a VCAA paper, a question asks to show the hydrogen carbonate ion acting as an acid.
The answer is:
If we don't show the arrow going both ways, do we lose the single mark? (Because I hadn't =\ )

It depends. If you do it repetitively in the paper, then they may take a mark off. Or if you do it multiple times they may take at most 1 mark off all up. They also do that with sig figures and states. If there's no specific question which allocates a mark to either of these, then you need to get them right in all questions, otherwise they'll take just one mark off for each. Aka at most 1 mark for states and 1 mark for sig figures

My chem teacher (who is an assessor) says you must put double arrows for the ionisation of weak acids/bases, as well as any other equilibrium equations. If you don't you will lose the mark.
