Why would you want to repeat Year 12 if you've been getting decent results. Unless you've failed all your subjects, why would you bother? Psychologically you'd be over it, and you wouldn't put in the same effort as last time!

And buddy, trust me, an ENTER score is NOT the end of the world! No matter what ENTER you get, you'll only get far in life if you apply yourself and give it your all. Once you're in uni, no one will care about your ENTER - even if you do get a 99.95!

Well a few years ago, they used to penalise you if you repeated a subject.  But that penalty has been scrapped and you're free to repeat year 12 and all your subjects without penalty.

It's easier to transfer from a uni course to another than to repeat year 12 and try get the required enter.
And who really wants to go through this shit again -_-? I think TER lasts for 3 years (I mean i've heard of people
deferring for a year and then re-applying for the course in hopes that the requirements are lower the next year?)

I thought your ENTER was valid so long as your were considered a 'school leaver'.

Ie. not applying through mature-age entry.  Which would give you 2-3 years.
VCE 2009
ENTER: 97.05
Subjects: English 44>[43.99] Literature 42>[43.23] History: Revolutions 42>[43.59] Pyschology 41>[40.52] Methods 32>[38.24] Legal Studies 37>[36.21]

Well it does depend on your GPA but if you're really dedicated and learnt from your lesson in year 12, then yeah, it can be easier (besides the fact that you would have wasted a year if you didn't do a course related to your "dream course").

it's not such a bad idea to repeat year 12. it can be a sort of gap year, doing only 2-3 subjects at CAE or TAFE (once a week classes) and perhaps working on the side, doesn't seem to bad if you want to increase your ENTER. but i'd only ever suggest to consider this if there is no course you can get in to that you would be happy with.. or do one you might like and transfer after a semester if unhappy:P

you'll never get a worse ENTER because you still keep all those subject scores you have...

plus some people get accelerated into a higher year level so that they can chose to do their vce in 3 years rather than 2. i had that option and i was about to do health, business and further maths next year as i was expected to finish in 2010, however i think i will get a good enough ENTER to get into my desired course. BUT the whole point of extending year 12 is so that you may add more subjects to your tally and hope your ENTER increases.

Actually, if she repeats the same subjects and she does worse, she will get a lower ENTER
