i wrote something along the lines of how the inputs required are different.. like a service dusnt require raw materials and has a greater reliance on staff skills .. the transformation process differs and said that the output was intangible unlike a manufacturing org..

dno if it's even close to being correct

the hr qn i just said that they may change the skill level required .. so consider qualifications and then also the testing of staff .. like aptitude tests so see whether or not they possess the standard of skills or sumthin like that

I went though how the input, process and output of service and manufacturing organisations, describing what takes place n each stage for both using Microsoft for my example (Programs for manufacturing and certification for service).
For the HR I said they would need staff that could work in a team so put them through team roleplays before employing and they would need to cope with a great deal of stress so test for that too.
All in all I thought it was a great exam, hard but I still answered every question confidently with 30 mins spare :-]

yer i said for the HR role plays and they want people with experience  theyll have  to change the job specifications. and that they can test applicants, by putting them in a role play or letting them work their for a couple of days to test how good they are... for the operations one, i wrote something about the process being the service itself, and inputs are different.. and how consumers for service companies purchase the process and for manufacturing based companies about how consumers purchase the output

I also wrote that the client is often involved in the input, process and output for a service whilst a product the customer only seeing the output.

the service/manufacturing one was the operations elements and how they differ, i wrote how a manufacturers outputs are tangible and the consumers doesnt need to be present, while a service business is intangible and the consumers has to be present. examples i used were soemthing about a mum not having to be present when flour is made even though she buys it from Coles, and ppl gotta be there when they fly

diff was outputs were tangible and intangible

also customers need to be present in a service business and customers dont have to be in manufacturing businesses.
