Well,

have any of you ever just wondered that you are just not good enough to get that really high ENTER score? like some people just have the brains from the start?

or the old nothing is impossible.

if you try day and night 99.95 can be achieved?

If you think you're not good enough to get it, then you won't get it. That much is guaranteed.
It's not about having brains from the start, it's about having confidence from the start.

Every one is born with different abilities in different areas, but there is less than we think separating us from the next person. The person who gets 100% on every test might look like a genius to every one else, but once you stop worshipping and start thinking in terms of "What's stopping me from doing that?", only then will you have the right frame of mind to get to where they are at.

And you have to truly believe that you can get to the top, because that person who gets 100% on every test believes that every day. If they didn't believe they could get to the top, then they wouldn't bother climbing. And the beauty is that everyone can get to the top, some people just don't bother trying.

I know this sounds like motivational bullshit but it is true

I'm sure all of us have thought this. If anyone expected to get 99.95 they would be crazy! On the contrary if you didn't expect to get near 99.95 it won't help.

The fact is most people in VCE see 99, 98, 97 ... 94 as a good ENTER (well that's what I thought, when I started year 12 I was aiming for 94 at the most). If you really want to achieve 99.95, there's a couple of people who got 99.95 on VN to talk to. I personally wouldn't recommend starting year 12 by saying "I'm going to get 99.95", since your peers won't really be any help.

The one thing I don't want to do is say 99.95 is unachievable, since VN is here to help year 12's (and 11's) achieve their best and we want to motivate you guys to reach your potential (I wish I knew of VN when I did year 12). As long as you can set yourself a goal, you can achieve. Try and relax and refresh these holidays and start year 12 on a positive, this way you will definately be closer to reaching your goals.

Hope I helped.

TT is definately a potential 99.95 achiever, this person has so much dedication to maths that everyone should take a sheet out of TT's book and learn from him. Ask for advice off TT.

I don't think you necessarily have to have confidence in order to get a 99.95. I know heaps of people in my degree who say things like 'This was my worst essay ever' or 'I think I'm going to get a credit average this semester' and then they end up getting 85 or even 90+ in assessments. It drives me crazy when they do that! But yeah, it shows that high achievers can definitely perceive themselves as ignorant, which may be what propels them to study so hard.
(I'm not saying that all high achievers are like this though)

i never imagined i could get a 90+ enter

and i didn't

the end

lol

but seriously i think it comes naturally, if you want to do well then that's in the person to achieve that
if you don't want or need or care or wateva a high score then you might get a high enter but then u most likely won't get a high enter
so if the person is really motivated, focussed etc... youll get the max u can get which most likely might be 95+
but if u aren't like me then you most likely won't get 95+

Heaps of high achievers fall because of the /0 view. Since they are no longer in a classroom environment in tertiary studies.

Could you expand on that?

Lol same here.

I knew I wasn't going to get 90+ because I already knew I was going to do bad in English. Teachers at my school said lots of people who do reasonably well in other subjects miss out on a 90+ because of English. I always thought of scrapping the compulsory English, but someone said if that happens, you could potentially need a higher aggregate for the same ENTER.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your meaning. But I was thinking you were saying that you use fame such as everyone thinking you are a genius to motivate you to study thus achieving 100%?

I personally think it's impossible for a lot of people to get high 99's. mainly due to people not being good at English (like me). i reckon with hard work in any subject you can score really high, but perhaps not perfect score hehe.

And no, not everyone can achieve 99.95, only the top 0.05% can.
I think the questioner was wondering about what % *could* get 99.95, which is more than the % who actually do.
