"Additional Reading" booklets
« on: November 29, 2009, 01:56:44 pm »
SORRY EVERYTHING'S TAKEN!!
... didn't think it'd be this popular :P

I was cleaning out my other bookshelf and found these "Additional Reading" booklets from VCE English which my school gave to us. I'm happy to give them away to whoever wants them because I think it's a shame to just throw them away.

They're for 1984 and Accidental Tourist. They include synopses, articles, and discussion questions. The AT one has a bunch of article analysis sheets in the back which I think are for Legal Studies and I have no idea why they're there, but whatever :P <-- sorry, already taken

There's also one for Lantana which is primarily a "Close Text Analysis" but also has 3 articles on the film. I've written all over it but hopefully some of those notes are useful. Here's a short example of what this "close text analysis" is about:
Quote
Scene 14: Bus stop. Exterior. Day.
- As Valerie waits for her taxi, she catches the eye of a young schoolgirl. The audience are not certain if the little girl is real or just exists in her imagination. This evokes a wistful memory of her daughter who, we find out, died at about the same age.
- As Valerie gets into the taxi, there is a voice over "... Please welcome Dr. Valerie Somers."

I also found a bunch of my practice essays (they all got scores of 9+) which I'll just chuck in there as well because it's not like I need them anymore lol.

3 options:
- I post it to you (but if you could pay for the postage that would be mucho appreciated)
EDIT: I checked and postage is apparently only like $1.10, so I don't mind paying that lol, I thought it would be like $5 or something
- Pick up from my house / Monash
- If you don't live too far away I'm happy to drop it in your mailbox

I'd like the 1984 stuff, how would you like the postage to be paid for?
