Hi vexx, all the EL books except for "Heinemann English Language Unit 1 & 2" were used in my class this year for EL. The course hasn't changed for 2010 so they will still be relevant.
Note that "Mastering Advanced English Language" is a textbook used for English GCSE. Nevertheless, it is the authority on grammar and it also has in-depth analysis of different types of spoken and written texts.

oh so was the Mastering Advanced English Language book good? i've heard of most of the other ones just not this one. did you use it much?

Yeah our class used it to learn the grammar for Unit 4, and also to revise for spoken/written sacs.
