Whichever one is closer? I think LaTrobe might be ranked slightly higher if that makes a difference.

I've heard that La Trobe is better in general, although La Trobe has a bigger focus on international law and Deakin's biggest focus is commercial law. go with what interests you
2009- National Politics (43) Methods (38)
2010- Economics (50) English (44) Literature (38) Introductory Microeconomcis (86) Introductory Macroeconomics (75)

Latrobe is in Bundoora, which is in the north. It's probably quite far off but there are trains (to Macleod station) and trams.

monash = too generalized?

That makes no sense... all law degrees have a set number of compulsory, core units you must study. Plus quasi-compulsory ones which you have to do to be admitted to practice in Victoria.

The only real variation between law degrees of different universities is in the elective units offered.

Do some solid research. See if you can get some good graduate outcome information from the Unis - don't accept "x% is in full time employment". Ask what % is in employment in the relevant field (law in this case). If they aren't willng to give you such info ask yourself why.
