« on: December 14, 2009, 07:10:33 am »
For uni courses do they use your scaled score or your raw score?
Say i got 27 for English, I need 25 and it got scaled down to 24.46 will I be able to get into my course?

Thanks

I'm sure they always use raw scores as prerequisites

This is 100% wrong!

Your ENTER is the ONLY thing that uses your scaled scores. So in your VTAC guide take biomedicine at Melbourne where you need a 35 in chemistry, 25 in English, methods and either biology, physics or specialist maths. These scores are raw, since the raw score gives an indication of where you fit on a bell curve for that particular subject.

May I ask you guys what is happening with spesh? 50 - 52 (last year was50 - 53 and in 07 it was 50 - 54).

Also why is the median ENTER 60 something? Shouldn't it be 50?
2008: Finished VCE

2012 - 2014: Master of Science (Applied Mathematics/Mathematical Physics)

2016 - 2018: Master of Engineering (Civil)

Semester 1:[/b] Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Risk Analysis, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering

Semester 2:[/b] Earth Processes for Engineering, Engineering Materials, Structural Theory and Design, Systems Modelling and Design

notice that each year spesh scales down, but also the aggregate to get 90+'s has also decreased as well.
