i called up, they said round 1 is finish, i have to wait until round 2 or 3, they said i may still get it but im not sure what the chance is... i think there r still many ppl better than me but cant get a scholaship, now just wish im that lucky enough...

and what do we have to do to reject the offer? like just dont do anything?

I'm pretty sure that if you don't enrol in a Monash course, the scholarship is automatically rejected. I'm rejecting mine, and I'm assuming that we don't have to specifically do anything about it. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me!

On the 18th January, you can find our which first round offer you received through the newspaper.  Then you wait for the offer letter to arrive in the mail.  To accept the offer, just follow the instructions in the letter.

EDIT:  Oops.  I thought you meant offers in general.  You were talking about scholarships, right?

For any scholarship, if you are absolutely decisive about not attending monash then you should call monash up and reject the offer so that the scholarship(with the exception of the excellence) can be thrown back into the basket and reoffered. There is some nervous people out there crossing their fingers for the offer and it is only decent to not prolong their agony.

Does it matter where Monash was in your preferences as to whether you get the scholarship?
I got a 99 and am hoping for a Commerce scholarship, but it was my 2nd preference.

Where you place the Uni in terms of preference should not affect whether you are offered a schoarship at the respective Uni. I applied for 5 Uni's in total With Melbourne first, Monash second, La trobe in 8th, Deakin in 9th and Vic uni in 10th and received scholarship offers from all. Hope that helps

yay! i got offered the Monash University Scholarship for Excellence and Equity just got the letter in the mail today!

i guess my year of hard procrastination paid off....

If you are not going to accept the scholarship then i seriously urge you to reject the scholarship. Consider someone who is on the cusp of getting the scholarship and is just waiting for someone else to reject.
