« on: December 16, 2009, 11:59:42 am »
Hello, just wondering if you don't accept the option for your degree to be published in the newspaper how/when do you find out if you got into your course or not?

You can also check on the VTAC myinfo. There should be an option that says 'Offer status'. You will also receive a letter the following day

Ok, on a more serious note, as stated above offers come out on the 18 January.  If you gave VTAC permission to publish your offer in the newspaper, then you will have the liberty of checking which offer you received in the paper.  However, as a confirmation, I would wait for it to arrive in the mail.

To accept the offer, just follow the instructions in the letter.

Was it the same page in which we signed for the permission of our names to be published in the newspaper for a 40+ score?
So if I got my name published in the paper, my name will also published in late Jan in what course I got into? I never remembering seeing this in the paper in past years... maybe I don't take enough notice... xD

Yeah it would have been on the paper

Hooligan, an even better option is go to VTAC and Log in, there is an option to PUBLISH your name in the paper as well as your offer, and to NOT publish it....you can tick or untick the box, it also says what u put down whether u want ur offers published.

Try it now

No, that's different.  When you were signing up and doing all that jazz on VTAC, there should have been a box asking for your consent to give VTAC permission to pass your offer to the media.

LOL, what the Herald Sun publishes as a NEWSPAPER, is generally available online as well.

So in January you can BUY the Herald Sun and search by alphabetical order manually, OR go online and type in your name.

Same thing :)
