Hi, I just wanted someone to clarify UoM's breadth study. Eg. I have always wanted to do Biomed, becuase of the range of study that I can do, but I am also quite interested in Actuarial Studies. I have found that I can do Breadth in BBiomed in Actuarial studies which would be ideal. Is this the case, how much more work is there and how qualified will you be in Actuarial after the BBiomed (The 3 stages to becoming a fully qualified Actuarist)
2010: Business Management [47]
2011: English [44]   |   Chemistry [45]  |   Methods [44]   |   Specialist [42]   |   MUEP Chemistry [5.0]   |   ATAR: 99.60
UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

If you wanna become an Actuarist I'm pretty sure you have to do a B.Comm with an Actuarial Studies major. Which takes 4 years. Not sure if you can take a Postgrad course in actuarial studies after your Biomed course.

Yeah you need to do a full actuarial course right from the get-go, meaning BComm with an Actuarial major, as Kopite said.
