Yeah I am, so I used Lists and Spreads too.
Just out of curiosity, how would you do that on the calculator?

just write the number in lists and spread then go stats and one variable and there it come up with something press enter then in second collumn or wil give u values hence were I got summary info.
Just out of curiosity, how would you do that on the calculator?

Albeno69, to find the mean and standard deviation, did you have to put the data in intervals first, then use the middle number? Cos when I do it, the mean and standard deviation always come out wrong :S

Albeno69, to find the mean and standard deviation, did you have to put the data in intervals first, then use the middle number? Cos when I do it, the mean and standard deviation always come out wrong :S
not sure what this is but I put all. The values in collumn 1 then menus then 4 then 1 then 1 again. This clear much up?

Yeah, I know what buttons to press, lol. I just don't know what numbers to put in.

You have a sample that you know has been selected from a normal-type population with a mean of 126.7 and a variance of 23.6. The interval that you would expect to contain 68% of the results is:

Aren't I just meant to do:
126.7 - 23.6 = 103.1
126.7 + 23.6 = 150.3

So the interval is (103.1, 150.3)? That answer is wrong.
Does variance even mean the same thing as standard deviation :O
The answer is meant to be (121.8,131.6).

Standard deviation is the square root of the variance ;)

no varience is not deviation it is something totally different varience =standard deviation squared

Be sure you can differentiate between univariate and bivariate data.

For univariate data, enter values in the left column, and if applicable, frequency values in the right column.  Then use the one var stat function to obtain a 5 figure summary.

For bivariate data, x values (independent variable) go in the left column, and y values (dependent variable) go in the right column, then use two var stat function to perform regression analysis.
