When thinking of where to study chemical engineering, I only considered uni's in victoria. My careers advisor at school mentioned interstate uni's, and I ended up having a look through UNSW courses. To this day I state that from what I saw, their uni looks really really good. However the reason why I didn't choose to go there is because I just cannot leave all my friends and family at this point in my life. Really I think this is when you need them the most and it would simply be too hard for me just to restart my life again in another state

Yeah being only 17/18, it's a big move to make. Also it costs quite a bit. Many people who make the move do so with the assistance of scholarships.

I would want to go another state; i don't think its a good thing to live at home for the first 25 or so years of your live with little variation.

I was in exactly the same position as you Dekoyl... after receiving our results, I was experiencing much fickleness and uncertainty.

I had the option of going to Monash or Sydney for law, but ended up choosing Sydney due to the reasons you mentioned.

hope your decision-making has worked out well for you.. wherever you go! =]
