The two typical anatomy textbooks are Moore and Dalley's Clinically Oriented Anatomy and Gray's Anatomy for Students by Drake et al. Both are available at a discounted rate at SPP books on Elizabeth Street in the City near Victoria Market. Personally, I bought Moores as it has more detail, but if you're after something that's easy to understand, Gray's is a better choice. It's also much better for cramming and learning just the bare essentials that will help you pass the exams. None of the additional stuff in Moores was really tested since in Monash at least, the exam only focuses on the most important stuff in anatomy; not the large amount of minor details that pop up. One of my friends who found even Gray's difficult to understand went for Snell's Clinical Anatomy by Regions, and I assume this is also available at SPP. Lastly, if all fails, you can't really go wrong with Anatomy at a Glance by Faiz and Moffat, which I'm pretty sure is an out of date book but I've downloaded a PDF copy myself which is only 6mb so I could possibly upload it somewhere if you want it.
