Learn More, Study Less

Wanted to share this – Amazing ebook

Learn More, Study Less debunks the myth of genius, and delineates what “being smart” is really all about - it has nothing to do with genes, parents, or even the environment one was raised in, conversely it’s a practical principle that everyone can apply. The principle is termed “holistic learning”; to put it shortly it’s the opposite of rote memorization, which as the author puts it, is “repeating information enough times with the hopes that it will stick.”

The ebook goes on to explain in detail an approach to learning which integrates the principle, in addition to specific learning and memorization techniques. Other features include insights on being a productive student, as well as motivation.

Definitely worth your time to read.

I read it all. Ill definitely employ some of the methods. Visceralisation. Peg methods or whatever he called it. I already do work a bit like that which is comforting. I dont really think the flow notes would be particularly helpful apart from learning the concept for the first time.

You don't have to change that strategy based on one ebook

Lol I changed my entire learning strategy after reading this one ebook. I used to prepare for exams by producing a 6000 word document of notes and memorizing the contents word-for-word, now my strategy is totally different.

Now I see where you get all your terminology from.

What terminology? =X

Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
