You can use CAS calculators in it, so whatever you used for methods you can use in further

Oh ok thanks caramel. Is it desirable to use a CAS calculator? I haven't used a normal graphics calculator in 2 years so if I went back to that I'd be less efficient.
Pros of using something like ti-84 is that examples are in the book that way. But I guess I can work it out pretty easily

In summary, all normal calculators can be used in further (or spec), and subsets of the calculators exist for methods.

I'd have no idea costa but probably stick with what you're used to :P

You can use scientific or graphics or CAS calculators in both exams but should understand the following:
Scientific calculators willgenerally be unsuitable for the statistical work in the Core.
CAS calculators may be too sophisticated for your needs. In order of friendliness for a Further Maths user, my order of preference (best first) in CAS calculators is Casio Classpad, Ti89, TiNspire.
Unless you need CAS for Math Methods (CAS) or Specialist, the most suitable calculator for Further is a graphics calculator with the Ti84 winning hands down in my opinion.
