lol going back a bit, but med/law has got to be one of the more pointless combinations. and yeah in reality, as i said, even for that much above 99 isnt going to help - like your bottom two subjects, as long as you're in the ball park you're fine, becaus e interview and UMAT count for so much
anyway good luck people... it all begins!!

Nah they talked a fair bit about med/law when I went to check out arts/law before change of pref week.  It made sense in context but it was too long ago for me to recall the exact speech.
Anyway, I gave up on Monash.

lol you can be a surgeon with a law degree. and im sure there are positives to it, but it seems like you could only use both degrees in a fairly narrow spectrum. unlike arts/law or science/law or straight med

Wow 50 and 47 for biology. Crazy numbers. *clap* Did you guys attend any exam preparation lecture?

I'm doing bio this year. Just aiming for 41+ for bio. I really do love bio but I'm not great at it, lol. I will strive harder this year. Hopefully we'll help each other out throughout the year :D

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to get into medicine field in uni without doing chemistry?

Not really.  Usually to do med you either do an undergraduate medical degree which requires chemistry, or a science/biomedical science degree which also requires chemistry.

You would probably be able to get into med if you took an undergraduate study, the went on to do graduate med.  But to get in you have to sit the GAMSAT which you have to do very well in, and will probably have a fair bit of science in it.

there are quite a few interstate uni's actually don't require chemistry to do med undergrad.
like university of new south wales and university of adelaide :)

Without chem our chances are pretty much limited right?
Chem was hard for me, I also don't really enjoy it (the whole chemical stuff etc) so in the end I dropped it.  :'(

Nah I didn't attend lectures as I find them unhelpful for Bio.
But, I highly recommend my own tutoring services!  :P

My aim is to get a study score of 45+ for psych and bio but been panicking and stressing since school started. Very worried about my year 12 subjects since they're so important!! :D
