Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a silly question but i just enrolled into my units on Allocate+ and I have clashes ... 3 lectures are on at the same time and it says that they have been "auto-allocated" and there are no preference options. Does this mean that I can't do these units?  :'(

I'm really worried :(

Well, one thing you have to understand about lectures is that you don't have to show up to them. So yes you'll still be able to do the subjects, you just would only be able to attend one of the lectures during the clash.

oh ok ... is it disadvantageous to miss lectures though?
Do you think that they will be able to change at least one lecture so that only two are on at the same time?
Thank you so much for your help :)

They will not change their lecture times to suit the one or two students who have clashes.

Which units are you doing?
You may be best off shuffling your units around, if it's not too problematic to your course requirements.

Yes, I'm pretty sure there are course advisors at enrolment day.

MUTTS... I don't use MUTTS... but some people use it to try and plan out their timetable... it sort of helps in organising preferences and stuff.

Well, yes it can be disadvantageous if you're not organised about it.

I had a clash for a few weeks between a lab and a lecture which mean I couldn't attend the lecture. You make up for it by having a look at the lecture slides (which are generally available on my.monash) and reading the book references.

As for being able to change lectures, it depends on the subject.

ok so i just entered my most likely clash filled/extremely unworkable preferences onto allocate +, but it wont allow me to view my proposed timetable in a grid format so i can see if it works, all i can see is a list... is anyone else having this problem?

That's normal... it won't be in timetable form until Adjustment mode, when you've actually been allocated classes.
