*runs in*

You can do it in your penultimate year (second last) of your degree.

*runs out*

;)
This.

So you can sit it in 3rd year and 4th year - the score will be valid for two years. If you don't get in with those, you might as well start your intern year and keep doing the GAMSAT till you get in. Just so you know, there are pharmacists who are also graduate medicine students working part time (or casually? - since they're almost never at work) as a pharmacist.

Overall, but only the last three years of the course counts for GPA calculations for grad med. With the last year having the most weighing as well - that is, your fourth year of pharmacy. I'm not sure if they look specifically at the prerequisites, it doesn't say so in the criteria (correct me if I'm wrong anyone). It seems like they're just a hurdle at the moment. So: GAMSAT, GPA and interview for judging; prereqs for eligibility.

hey toothpaste, i just read the entry requirements and the GAMSAT website says that you need to be in your FINAL year of your bachelor course is this true? does this mean  i cant do the GAMSAT in my 2nd / 3rd year of pharm?

hey grey
i'm 2nd year pharm/comm
you can get out of comm if you want and only do the pharmacy half of the degree. you'll then be resigning from comm and have bachelor of pharmacy. that way you can do gamsat in your 3rd/4th year.
i'm also doing pharm/comm and let me tell you.....pharmacy was my first preference and after one year i've completely turned off it. lol. sorry to be a downer
