On Ti-84 when you have two lists you can calculate the residual value by going on L3 and choosing RESID or something.

Is their a similar function on CAS calculators?

One way is to go to Stats/List Editor. Type in the values in the lists and go to F4: Regressions and select the one you want. After calculating regression it will create another list for residuals

I'm using TI-89.

I have data/matrix editor which gives me the lists to enter my data. If I click on F5 I can choose LinReg but that just gives me the the m, c, r and r^2 values.
I don't see anywhere where I can choose to see the list for residual values. I might do a google. But if anyone can help please let me know

Edit:
Hmm maybe its because I dont have stat list editor. But on my apps I have data/matrix editor and that's what I have been doing for the past year in methods cas. How do I get stat list editor or can I do it with data/matrix editor

SOLVED

For anyone else who has this problem.
Type in x and y values into c1 and c2 respectively. Do Lin Reg and store regression line to y1.
Then go to the c3 list and type in c2-y1(c1)
Then the list of residuals will be in c3
=)
