EDIT: Looking at ATARCALC it appears you need 50 in both ENG and Lit as well as >43 in Japanese to get it x_x I see why you have some skepticism...

Still, it is possible to get 44 in Japanese, right? You did get the award at your school. Then you just need to be on fire tomorrow and hope examiner's see your essays for what they are.. Then you're set.

Easier said than done.  :p

And not to sound creepy, but I agree that out of the lurkers, scocliffe09 is going to do amazingly (and I only know of him through hearsay!).
