How to use Whose Reality Quote

I'm doing an imaginative piece on the context of 'whose reality'. The form i chose is a memoir and i found this quote by Gore Vidal - A memoir is how one remembers one's own life, while an autobiography is history requiring research dates, facts double checked-. I was wondering if it would be advisable to put the quote as sort a tag line, then go into my piece.

I'd just use the first part of the quote since it relates to the idea of your reality being what you remember. :)
I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.
