70-75 is a B
75-80 is a B+
80-90% is usually an A
90-100 is an A+
but these vary, iv forgotten why

but in chem you can probs get an A with a lower % than 80
and in some other subs it works the other way around

yeah definitely depends on the school as 85-95% is A and 95%+ is A+ for us.. ask your teachers

for methods we get our scaled letter grade which is much more important then the raw one, since that means we have been ranked on a bellcurve and only that few % get A+ and so on.

Yeah, our marks are standardised, so that the results fit into the bell curve, rather than just based on the quality of the work (eg. everyone getting As)
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2010 - MM CAS (47) - Cisco 1+2 (pass :P)
2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT
ATAR - 99.00+ plz... :)

Feel free to PM me for anything :D

I wish my school had that bell-curve stuff. I'd hate to know the real way they separate students who get the same scores..

Im averaging out as an A+ student this year which is nice.

70-75 is a B
75-80 is a B+
80-90 is an A
90-100 is an A+
All in percentages of course.
Also note these are equivalent to rankings. Top 10% of people get an A+. An A+ isn't necessarily above 90%, it could be above 80% or above 96%, all you know is you're in the top 10%
Religion and Society (38), IT - Software Development (45) English (35), Chemistry (49), Methods CAS (48), Specialist Maths (50)

A+ ranking fluctuates occasionally - sometimes it is top 7-8%; other times it can be as low as top 13%- so straight A+'s doesn't guarantee 40+.

I would just like to say, I think last year for chem, 79% was the cutoff mark for A+. I think in chem, the percentage is definately lower due to the difficulty of the exam. Maths is pretty standard, 90%+ if you want an A+.

have a look at that, you will see that for different subjects A+ in the exam has different marks
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vcaa/vce/statistics/2009/statssect3.html#H3N10065
eg. For coursework BM A+ is 93-100%, whereas Spec is 91-100%
and for exam BM A+ is 101-120 marks, and Spec is 140-160 marks?

UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]

The individual grades for SACs don't mean alot, its all the marks put together for your unit grade, which is based on the particular gradings for that subject. For example an A+ in Business Management for the unit might be 90-100/100, and for English it might be 85-100/100

Depends largely on the school you go to. It might be outlined in your diary what the exact numbers are.
