Who has had their first sac? If you have, how was it structured and how do you think you went?

I think my school is behind schedule as the first sac starts first week back from holidays. We get 2 weeks (10 periods).

Also, anyone who has done IT what is needed to get a 35+

effort & work and a willingness to pump up about the course is required to get a decent score in applications.  you won't get anywhere in IT if you are bitter about the course (as many of the students in my IT class were last year), so try not to resent the course during the year :)

At least minimal input into the IT:A Information System still creates maximal output.

(sorry, had to do it)

im doing this project management thing for my SAC which involves using filemaker pro to build a database.

I swear the design part of the task is the most long and shitting bit ever.

Does anyone know how to crack a protected filemaker pro file? my teacher has this example one to show us and I want to break into it and re-design it to suit my task's solution

i think everyone's first SAC is database
but the thing is, the paperwork is more important than the actual thing itself
same goes for all the SACs
just read the criteria and make sure you have addressed every one, and make sure its a good design and plan, the actual thing itself has very little impact.

and to get 35+, you need common sense, and read the textbook
i briefly went over it the night before exam and managed a 36 xD

Ahh yeah I agree, we had a practice SAC and the design task took more than 1 week to complete!! To try and do the whole thing in 10 periods is going to be VERY tight!

It is hard for me to see where my standard is at as I am the only one in my class who actually does the work.. I swear everyone else is pathetic..

Glockmeister had a SAC on Access which I found really stupid...he had to build a database for students to enrol into classes. Obviously when you consider the cardinality of the relation (n:M + M:n), it's clearly a many to many relationship.

THEY WERE NEVER TAUGHT IT
(so he had to do some dodgy stuff which I'd suicide if I ever did...)

Silly VCE teachers, I say!

To get a 35, you need at least a B-B+ across your SACs and a low B+/high B for your exam.

We are in the midst of the first SAC. We are starting with the virtual teams/web design SAC (outcome 2). I think the teacher is doing that so we spend more time on databases.

my crappy first SAC started last week, apparently we're going to miss a lot of ITA classes so its going to take nearly a month to complete.

Lol yeah, it's not that hard to get a good mark just do heaps of practice ^^. Although I didn't do much practice for SACs lol, it's all about the exam. My friend and I both got 49 and I ALWAYS got a better mark than her for SACs but we got the same Exam mark, so her SACs got moderated lol.
