DON'T USE PRONUMERALS LIKE THAT WHEN THEY AREN'T DEFINED
They don't make sense unless you define them, you can't really invoke 'b' and 'c' out of nowhere
It's like saying...

End rant.

I sware shes got it in for me
EDIT I sware she HAD it in for me, shes gone back to special programs now :)

Anyway, you don't have to do her step, you can skip to your step, BUT it would be better if you wrote:
(x+4/2)^2 - (4/2)^2 + 6

With CAS now implemented, you will have to show many steps. Otherwise your calc may have done it all...

I'll use my calc to check the answer anyway :P?

Don't do that. That's cheating!! :police:

@luken93

As the.watchman said, it is an unnecessary and incorrect step, all you really need to do is what the.watchman did.

But all this "have I shown enough working" is stupid... Should be more a question of, can you solve this problem. Rather than this plug & play version of maths...
2009/2010: Mathematical Methods(non-CAS) ; Business Management | English ; Literature - Physics ; Chemistry - Specialist Mathematics ; MUEP Maths

96.85

2011-2015: Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Bachelor of Science, Monash University

2015-____: To infinity and beyond.

Haha, you know I'm kind of glad VCE requires us to use CAS calculators.
From my experience at ANU, almost everyone uses a scientific calculator, or if they want to do anything more complicated than arithmetic operations, they have to use Mathematica on their PC. Scientific calculators are such garbage ;D

Practise using it :P.

LOL yeah, I've used mine so much over the summer that my fingers automatically type stuff.
I can even type text almost as fast as I can type on a keyboard... :P

So if you practice/use it enough, you will be able to type faster :)

I guess I'll do that. But I can do it naturally using scientific calculator or TI-84 =/
