Does the difficulty in NMR lie within the theory or questions?

FOR ME, I believe questions, but they can become much easier with a great knowledge of the theory.
Its helped me atleast, knowing all the theory and just applying it into the questions works well. :)

Understanding the theory itself and the principles behind the interpretation is more difficult. By questions, I'll assume you mean interpretation since apparently they don't ask questions on NMR theory. But yeh, it's easy to interpret NMRs if you apply very rigid and mechanical methods, but actually understanding the principles behind the features of the graphs themselves is much more difficult. Obviously though, if you understand the principles, it'll eventually make the interpretation much easier.
