Out of curiousity, is it possible to do UMEP even before Year 11? I think there's a person in my school's doing it...

Probably, but what's the point of doing it so early? I mean, I "could" do methods, for example, in year 9 or 10 if I felt like putting the effort in, but there's really no point in doing things so early.

Thor did TWO Uni subjects in year 11.  It was pretty crazy.

Oh, right. They must be geniuses/exceptions because the brochures say you're not supposed to do it in year 11.

I'm pretty sure UMEP can only count as your 6th subject, so if you do two UMEPs you will only get one score.

wow a year10 doing umep maths, congrats! when i had umep orientation early in january this year, the coordinating manager (forgot his name) introduced himself, briefly congratulated us for getting in and then proceeded by asking those of us *not* in year 12 to raise their hands. nobody did and then he was like oh good, because if your not in year 12 your not meant to be in this program because its specifically catered for year 12's...

^I don't know specfically what he did, but from what i gather Taylor is a god among mortals. He like did methods in year nine, spech the next year, wrote a text book the next. You know, nothing out of the ordinary :P Pretty sure he went to melbourne grammar

Sounds like one of my friends in NSW (although she didn't accelerate anything... but she won an olympiad medal :)). She scored above 96 for all of her subjects (so similar to 47+?)... except English. She had an 86 for that.

But she still managed to get mid 99s...
