Does anyone know if there are any companies like Neap that produce chem questions (like "Neap smart study"). I really like doing them and they are good study questions. Thanks.

The checkpoints was a waste this year. I wouldn't recommend it. But A+ exams is great!

Yes, they have. You have to buy a 2008 version (has a new white, orange and green colour) as opposed to the pink and purple cover it used to have.

get the A+ exam pack if u want questions, the A+ notes are only good if ur teacher is "ambiguous"

For me, i found Chemnotes a regurgitation of the material found in the textbook and the practice questions not too hard. (well the author is a co-author for Nelson Chemistry so what do u expect)...

Checkpoints are really a regurgitation of past exam questions so yeah...self explanatory...

i second A+ exams thingies...but dont assume the difficulty is right...some are a tad easy...

Neap ones are written by F Jeffery lead author for Chemistry Dimensions. Pretty good I found. (as above)

New Info: BLAHH!

There is a massive study guide called "Chemistry Review Questions" published by Lisachem (who produce OMFG hard practice exams) It is booklisted at some schools (some private schools in east melbourne ...and i hav no idea why...) and there are over 300 examination style questions and like hundreds of multiple choice q's. Some of them are irrelevant i.e. so tedious but most are really good.

and there's a study guide written by Pat O'Shea who is a co-author of Chemistry Dimensions textbook and a presenter at TSSM (but i havent used it so i cant really say anything about it) also published by LisaChem

u can get these at A & G...so yeah...

Does anyone use the Chem VCE study pack (Jacaranda's cuecards)? Are they any good? Would you rather purchase checkpoints or these? (I know they are very different in that one provides questions and the other provides summary notes >< but i would like to know whether the checkpoints 'regurgitation' of past exam papers do still provide good value or should i just buy these cue cards etc) I've already purchase Chemnotes which i guess is a combination of both but am looking for another resource...

Any suggestions?

Thank :)

You can't use many other textbooks because the course has changed and so older textbooks are outdated!

chocoholic ask your teacher if you can have a copy of the digital version of other current textbooks
my teacher gave them to me.

it is a very good idea, esp for the new contents, where you can read several interpretations of it and understand more thoroughly.
