Double and triple C-C bonds

Can triple bonds undergo addition reactions and polymerisation?

What is the reasoning that alkynes are more reactive than alkenes which are more reactive than alkanes?

Alkynes are more reactive than alkenes basically for the same reason alkenes are more reactive than alkanes. Alkanes have single carbon to carbon bond. they are saturated as have no free bonding sites. They can only go substitution. However the double bond in alkenes allows a different molecule to come along that breaks the double bond and attaches to the alkene.
