how do i get to melb uni parkville campus (tsfx lectures)

Haha hi all,
i am attending the tsfx lectures at melb uni parkville campus on the 22nd and 23rd of May and would like to know the quickest way to get there from southern cross station since i have to walk / tram / train etc.

don't get off at sourthern cross

get off at melbourne central, go to elizabeth street, take the number 19 tram (north coburg) and that tram takes you right along to the west side of melbourne uni. Which is right next to the two economic buildings and the medical building which is where a lot of tsfx lecture are.

Don't walk unless if you want some good exercise.  The quickest way to get to UoM is by taking the tram.  From Southern Cross, there are 2 ways.  From Southern Cross, you can take a tram along Bourke Street, then get off at Swanston Street and then you can take any tram up Swanston Street, provided the tram does not say "Queensberry Street" at the top.

Alternatively, you could get off at Melbourne Central, hop onto any tram (except Queensberry) on the corner of LaTrobe and Swanston Streets.

It is but if amygardner wants to get off at Southern Cross because it's easier, the option is there.

By the way, a very useful and nifty website would be Metlink's Journey Planner.  Just for future reference.

im going for the psych lecture on saturday and the account lecture on sunday
i thought id ask since ive got to figure what time to catch the train from home  (will take me 2hr on train  :buck2:) so that i have time to get there from the station

Metlink's timetable will be your friend.    It's got both metropolitan and V-Line train timetables.

whoa, that is a LONG time to travel for some lectures >.<  but.....they're worth it at least from my experience
